NYFF #6 No Home Movie by Chantal Akerman. Devastating and so so beautiful. I could cry thinking of it.

NYFF #5 In the Shadow of Women by Philippe Garrel was quite a let down. But! Garrel was there!
And Agnes Varda was there. And it was the day we learned of Chantal Akerman’s death.
Needless to say, a very somber and moving evening at Alice Tully Hall.

NYFF #4 Michael Moore’s Where To Invade Next is fucking great and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.

NYFF #3 My Golden Days / Three Memories of My Youth by Arnaud Desplechin. Dang! Young Ester!
This is prequel of sorts to one of my all time favorites (My Sex Life…or How I Got Into an Argument)!!

NYFF #2 Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Cemetery of Splendour was sleepy/dreamy. Jenjira Pongpas 4 ever!

NYFF Retrospective of Jerome Hiler and Nathaniel Dorsky!
Over the course of 5 days I saw 25 of these gentlemen’s films. Gladness! Spirit! WOW!
